The defining line of dialogue when Bobby and Frankie killed the obnoxious pimp, C.C., whose role was outstandingly executed by Gary Carr. I was rooting for him to die. I think he became suicidal after he sold Abby for the proverbial 40 pieces of silver. He was uneducated and a complete asshole, but he had street smarts. He had to know that he was over-reaching his authority; I just don’t think he expected to get whacked so soon!

One of the many things that I like about The Deuce is that it shows how completely useless a pimp really is. I know from experience that is how they are.
