Just finished Season 2

I wasn't feeling it for the first few eps, but soon it got into its groove again. I missed the (relative) innocence of several of the characters from S1 who are now jaded by having gone through The Process already. Gloria (and in her own way, Elisa) had some of that vibe this time, but most of the characters (even new ones like Silas) were hard cynics and it was a bit depressing at first.

I'm curious to see where a third season will go.

I'm just into episode 3 of season 2 and so far I'm feeling the same way. The characters and story line are so different this season, it's a little hard to get into. I am enjoying it and will continue to watch and hopefully it will get better.

Let me know what you think as you get farther into it. I'm curious what people think of the ending and where a third season might go if it happens.

***********SPOILERS*************

I just finished season 2 and ended up really enjoying it very much. The situations and the characters were very different than season 1 but for the most part their personalities were the same which initially I wasn't sure of.

I'm not sure there will be - or should be - a third season. I think they gave us closure at the end of season 2, with a new, probably (hopefully) much better place, being founded by Michele and Fernando. It hinted that Rafael and Elisa would stay together which was nice too. Not sure what will become of Joana, except that if things get better in the Inland, life for all, including Joana, would be better. I wouldn't be unhappy if it just ended here.

I thought that too at first, but then realized that it looked a lot like they were just going to have another Process for Offshore 2.0. If there was an indication there would be more colonies being built one after another so more of the ruined earth could be reclaimed, that would be one thing, but there wasn't any indication of that. If there was an indication that her plan would definitely fail (even with Fernando keeping her honest), then that would take things toward another more definite ending, albeit a less positive one. Something a little clearer would have meant true closure for me. Overall I was also pleased with the season. I just think there's room for more.

Oh there's definitely room for a 3rd season and I think they should keep going with it (I'm aware they already announced they will, ty for sharing it). There's all sorts of tensions that can rise from the creation of "The Shell?" not only between the inland peoples and the Shell but also between the Offshore and the Shell. There is still much to learn about the founding couple and how the process really came to be after they basically destroyed the inland. Also these resources are they really enough to provide for the inland people or will they be used to build The Shell? We still don't know. I always assumed the Offshore had somewhat limited resources (even though they are supposed to live in luxury) when considering the needs of the inland peoples.

Season 2 felt really fast paced. If they manage to keep this pace and keep things interesting I'm sure there's room for a few more seasons.
