More Weeping Woman movies

After watching this I've developed a eagerness for the La Llorona legend. And was pleased to find some older Mexican mystery movies that have dealt with the same Weeping Woman.

In 'The Curse of the Crying Woman' (1963) there is a female ghost who is heard crying in the woods. 'The Revenge of the Crying Woman' (1974) involves how the crying woman is experienced as a mummy in a cave.

I reckon that there is a great make-up job and costume on La Llorona in the current movie. The black tears. The white dressed stressed by age and mud. I would like to have seen more of her than the tantalising appearances we see of her in this. As long as the character looks scary rather than ridiculous.

I've just come back on here to say that there is an even earlier Weeping Woman movie set in Mexico. It is 'The Crying Woman' (1933). In this La Llorona begins her supernatural killings with a man on the streets as her victim.
