Needed a bigger budget or shorter runtime...
This film had potential, and I get what they were going for, but man was it a slog to get through. The soundtrack was pretty cool but I didn't really understand why it had to be set in 1987?
The acting from Randy Spence was actually really good, and he mostly carried this film (he also looked a lot like Christian Bale from Out of the Furnace at times). But the glacial pace and paucity of action/drama/tension just turned this film into a chore to watch at times, especially by the time they got to the bowling alley.
I can't imagine only the most masochist of cineast could love this film so dearly, but even the twist wasn't enough to justify the bog-slow journey to get there.
