Michael Jae-White’s character: Too emotional?


He got angry at the hostage when she hesitated to answer if Miller was alive or not.

He lost his temper / composure when he found that the bad guys had Connie. He told the SWAT to hold off, when they might not get another chance etc (“that’s my wife. Pull out”)

You’d figure a seasoned, skilled hostage negotiator would have his emotions in check. He came across as unskilled, amateurish.
