Tried to watch the 1st episode. The music was horrible. Then, the almost immediate sex scene. The dialogue was nothing like Mad Men. It was like watching a police procedural. Rat a tat tat. I read the book on which this is based and the tone is completely different. I just cancelled my Amazon subscription.

I'm in the middle of the season and quite enjoying how it has captured what it was like to be asked to make coffee on top of doing your own real job.

Not suppose to be Mad Men. Not a comedy not quite drama. How can you not like the music? It's nowhere as good as Mad Men, but it is pleasant to watch. It tries to be authentic 1969-early 70's, but no one ever gets that period right. Hairstyles and clothes isn't exactly right. It's pretty lightweight, but enjoyable characters. Good production values. Not as off as Aquarius.

As for this not being like Mad Men (of which I've never seen a single episode) so what? It's not like another show. Isn't that actually a good thing? If all shows were the same they be . . . boring. As for canceling your Amazon subscription, I've heard sillier but not by much. Do you shoot the pizza boy when he's late?
That's what I thought, Voivod666. I thought the music was great and got better as the season progressed. I am shocked that the news just broke about a cancellation! I thought this was so well cast and the feel is authentic, not backlot fabrication. I could go on...but I need to go find the petition to keep this show going.
