I can completely understand why people completely dislike what has became of her in Super, but why all the hate for the character in general and why do people completely forget how awesome she was in the original Dragon Ball?

shareChi-Chi is great. I agree with atarofker here. Most people haven't seen Dragon Ball so their only exposure to Chi-Chi has been after she had Gohan. Going only off of what is seen in DBZ she just seems like a pointless mother character, she doesn't have any impact on the plot unlike Bulma.
Chi-Chi was really good in Dragon Ball, but her character dropped off a lot from Z onwards. It's a shame.
