Review Of Extended Cut. Possible Spoilers

So I finished watching the Extended Cut. Added/new scenes didn't really add much. A few I liked but they didn't really change the movie. All it really changed was that Deckard Shaw is pretty much the British/U.K. version of Dom. Dom is all about American Muscles. Shaw is all about stuff from the U.K. Also, one scene kind of explains why Hobbs took the truck during the sub battle at the end. Statham wanted that truck and it's from the U.K. So with Hobbs thinking Shaw is dead, he decides to take it to honor him or something. Plus when Shaw delivers Baby Brian to Dom, Shaw puts some baby toy in the car seat or whatever you want to call it that has the U.K. flag on it. Dom tells Shaw that his son is all about American Muscles. It's pretty much something similar to Dom and Brian (Paul Walker) debating about American Muscles and imports.

The only scene I REALLY liked was the scene between Ramsey and Shaw after Dom and Cipher attack Mr. Nobody's HQ aka Nowhere. Made Shaw feel a little more like a member of the team and that they had begun to accept him. But it should've stopped there. Didn't really like that Roman notices the moment between Ramsey and Shaw. He then gets Tej's attention and the two kind of get jealous that Ramsey may be interested in Shaw. It was slightly funny though. But wasn't needed. And all Ramsey did was allow Shaw to use her computer, plus thank him for saving her during the attack. So it wasn't necessary to add a third possible love interest for Ramsey.

I also did like that they added about ten seconds of showing Dom and Cipher getting ready to attack Nowhere from a surveillance camera on the same computer as God's Eye. Kind of ties in with Shaw later on saying surprise to Cipher when he and his brother get on the plane.

Everything else though you won't really notice unless you watch the Theatrical Cut several times first, which I did. Just added dialogue to some scenes. Action scenes didn't seem extended either or have extra blood/gunfire.

There also a great scene with Roman and his Lamborghini when he go but back again because in front him the military trucks it was a great short scene for a car lovers and they should put it in the threatcal cut
Also NYC chase was slightly extended and there is funny scene when hobbs fight in the submarine also Tej have small fight scene and there smoe cool extra scene in Cuba race and prison scene there some additional scenes...
But the only thing disappointed me in the extended version is that Berlin stuff wasn't add anything specially when you watch the first trailer you notice a lot of car scene was deleted and i don't know why and they should put it on the extended cut...
Overall I disappointed of the extended cut because its they hype it a lot and since its 12 min longer i expected a lot of action but its just 1:30 min additional action and some humor and the rest is boring dialog....
Correction : the truck Hobbs used in Ice scene is different than the one shaw talked about that was British but Hobbs truck was modified Dodge Ram...

Roman telling the others wasn't really needed. They could've left that out. The military trucks were coming from that way anyway. So Roman didn't need to drive there and turn around to tell the others to head for the ice.

Hobbs' fight scene was in the Theatrical Cut. All that was added was just 10-20 seconds of him removing his coat/jacket and doing that ritual chant thing from the soccer game earlier in the movie. Only thing that did was explain what happened to Hobbs' coat/jacket and why he took it off. I was wondering why he randomly didn't have it on for that part. But overall that could've been left out.

Tej's fight could've been left out also.

I did like some of the "boring" dialogue parts. Mainly just the little bit between Ramsey and Shaw. Everything else could've been left out. It didn't do much for the overall plot. The Ramsey and Shaw conversation kind of helped Shaw's character and making him feel more like a member of the team.

I could've sworn the Cuba race didn't have any new footage, but I'll have to watch the two cuts of the race again. Prison riot I noticed a few extra bits but they weren't much. I also didn't notice anything new with the New York stuff, but once again, I'll have to re-watch both cuts to see what's different.

And I guess I was wrong about the truck Hobbs used during the sub battle/chase. The one Shaw got in and the one Hobbs used both looked similar, but after going to each scene and comparing them, they were different. So I'm wrong about that.

I also thought everything was included during the Berlin stuff but I'll have to re-watch the trailers and both cuts of the movie.

The only thing I was looking forward to was seeing them taking a little bit longer to show Dom turning. With him going on about family in the past few movies, it seemed to quick of him to turn on everyone. Would've liked to see him go through some struggle. Maybe show the team actually stealing the EMP device and seeing what he was like during the mission.

About Roman telling the others i liked because we great short scene of his lamborghini.
Hobbs dance it's explain what happened to his MG because in extended cut we saw that his gun is empty after he shot someone also its funny that dance.
Tej fight its good short scene.
Cuba race there was about 15 sec of Motorcycle scenes and it was great scenes.
Berlin stuff i think there is just 4 second additional but go and watch the first trailer there is about 12 second wasn't in the movie at all and i don't why.
Prison riot there is about additional 15 sec.
NYC chase there is additional 10 sec.
Also Shaw baby fight it was 12 sec longer.
Overall i prefer the Extended Cut its doesn't change the your personal review of the movie but fans of the movie like me will prefer the extended cut (more action more Humor more Characters dialog)

I felt there was enough of the Lamborghini, so it didn't need to be included.

With the Hobbs' dance, it still wasn't needed, especially to explain his gun was empty and that he ditched it. I just saw it as "well time for Hobbs/The Rock to start punching people and actually fight them since the director or The Rock wanted another fight scene or to show him punching/kicking people."

Tej's fight scene just felt out of place to me and random. Could've been left out. It was only like 5 seconds too. Plus he was just fighting Henchman #100 or something. Not a major character. Maybe if was an important character like Rhodes and a much longer fight, then keep it.

But I'm a pretty big fan of the movie, the characters, and the series/franchise. All the additional stuff just wasn't needed and I saw why it was cut. Except for the Ramsey and Shaw bit. It just threw the pacing off for me and felt out of place. And it didn't do much to help the plot. I was going in hoping for more stuff to help the plot. But all I saw was fluff.

Its your opinion but for me additional action its good but also if watch this video
https://youtu.be/gfrNgnvhD-c
You will see 27 seconds wasn't in the extended cut even and its shame because it's unrated extended director's cut so they should keep it.
And as a huge fan i would say f Gary gray is the worst director ever to FAF because he focus more in drama and dialog than the action and since faf is all about action and not focus in the story that's bad because the movie have less action and way more boring dialog than the last three even there was a lot of car and action scene was in trailers and he just deleted it also i watched a lot of behind the scenes and there was a lot of cras stuff wasn't in the movie so i feel that f Gary gray wasn't fit and good decision and hope he will not be back to F9

Overall though, the Extended Cut was kind of another gimmick like the previous movies. Even if it has more additional footage than what the previous extended cuts for the other 2-3 movies had. Those extra 12 minutes didn't really do much to the overall plot. I can see why they were removed. Except the Ramsey and Shaw moment. That could've stayed. And maybe showing the surveillance footage of Dom and Cipher getting ready to bust in. Everything else did nothing.
