I Like the Actors, But...

...I'm utterly bored. I made it through episode 1 with a few breaks due to monotony. Hoped for more excitement - hell, any excitement - and it was the same old throughout series 2. Now I'm reluctant to get into the 3rd episode because, DULL.

Good actors, but why is the premise so predictable? I guessed every step of the plot so far. I see others like it, and I'd like to hear why (aside from Suranne Jones).

I'm two episodes in and there is still nothing to the story. Middle aged man has sex with a young girl behind his wife's back.

And err that's about it.

And I am fed up of hearing what a great actress Suranne Jones is. I have yet to see it. All she does is look glum and on the brink of crying. Terrible acting.

I must agree with your comment on Suranne Jones. I find her a very unnatural, unconvincing actor and don't buy into what is happening to her. She always makes me think , "Oh look, there's someone doing some acting".

I like her usually but she never convinced me as this character.

If you're hoping "for more excitement--hell, any excitement", a series about infidelity and divorce is probably not the first place you'd look. My recommendation: superhero movies!
