Loved the show. Final episode was the most explosive I've seen in a long time. How can they top it in season 2?

shareI keep wondering why a second season is needed also. The secrets are out, he was a cheater, she worked to much and was aloof. He is out of the house. I hope there is nothing like someone dying or they try and expand on the same story.

Most women hate watching cheating men no matter what. A second season could be how she moves on to someone else while he wants her to forgive him. Don't laugh,this worked for years on the good wife. Women waited for ages for her to get revenge all while SOME still hate him for what he did. And they are still watching. How do you hold SOME women to a series, just cast a cheating husband, they get there fix on hating him each week.

I personally can't wait for season 2. As I have said in another thread there will be a lot of fallout from Gemma's actions. Do people like her ever learn you can't go round behaving like a psycho ? How will Tom's life truly be without his father whom he loved deeply ? What will Bertie and Kate's life be like in London ? How will Kate's parents react over time, her father doesn't strike me as a man who will take this lying down, he will be a big part of season 2 IMO. Gemma will likely not trust anyone and find it difficult to have healthy relationships, particularly in that town. Jack told her to get out,it was Bertie's hometown and it's pretty evident Gemma was not liked at all there. Bring on Season 2 , looking forward to it immensely.
shareSimon will leave Kate....who will team up with Gemma to start a detective agency where they track cheating husbands. Maybe.

Maybe it wasn't commissioned for a second series yet, when they were recording the last episode(s) of S01.
And maybe they decided to wrap it up, just in case.
And not leave us with an open ending of a series that never returns for a S02.
Don't you all hate when that happens?
I can't wait for season 2. If it's as excellent as season 1, I'll be hooked all over again. I can't remember the last time I watched a show with so much realism.
shareSeason 2 was great, and ended with one problem left unresolved that could lead to a third season. Unfortunately the show's makers don't seem to have any intention of taking it further.
