Plausible S3 Billy plotline

At the end of his fight with Steve in the last episode, Billy was left behind in the Byer's house. Also left behind was the demodog specimen in the freezer.

Though Billy ended the fight with far less damage than Steve, a vain kid like that would be worried about any punch to his pretty face.

I think its likely he could have woken up, found everyone and his car gone, and went to the freezer to find a bag of peas or something for his face. That is where he would have found the demodog.

That could be setting him up as a main antagonist for season 3, and make him a possible willing host for the demogorgon. Maybe it can sense his need for revenge.

Except at the end of S2 we saw Billy was fine, he was looking at Max like he felt kind of guilty.

I thought that glance was interesting. No anger or resentment toward his stepsister. He was hard to read though. Was he remorseful for the way he treated her? Based on how long that medicine (whatever it was) kept Will sedated, it's quite possible Billy was still laid out on the floor when Joyce returned home. Maybe Hopper had a little word with him. Or he could have woken up shortly before that, went looking for something cold in the freezer and found the demogorgon carcass right before everyone got home. Plus he would've taken a gander at the walls and seen Will's bizarre map all over the house.

So he's clued in that something very strange was happening, and Steve and all the kids - including Max - probably know all about it. He showed up that night and interrupted ... who knows what? He may be following them around trying to figure that out in season 3. Perhaps threatening to expose Eleven with his snooping.
