I enjoyed this film, but that was a glaring inaccuracy. The race started at 9:30am, the elites were closing in on the finish line some 2 hours later, and there's a sold out Red Sox game?
shareThe red Sox really did have a game start at 11:05am that day (you can look it up). It's a state holiday for Massachusetts and typically the Sox play a day game on Patriot's Day.

Yup, it was an early start to the game. I remember it well because they played my Blue Jays and I woke up early to catch it (I work late and don't usually get up til just after noon).

It would take almost no time voodoo, for you to have learned that this was not inaccurate at all. The Red Sox have played a morning game on Patriots' Day for decades. Check the Red Sox website for their schedule and you will see this to be true for any season.
Why don't we just shoot 'em down and be through with it?
Patriots Day is an actually holiday in Mass. The Red Sox usually play a home morning game around 11/11:30 on that day.

This isn't all that unusual. Baseball games have been known to start at 12:30 or 12:00 on weekdays, which obviously isn't far off from 11:30 a.m.

I find it astonishing in this day and age, with the internet at people's disposal, that they don't take a quick minute to check something before criticizing it.

Like mentioned it was Patriots day in Boston, and the Boston Red Sox were scheduled for an early start time for a game, and but the bombing happened, the game would have bene going on, and too late to cancel the game. I guess be glad you don't normally see a game being schedule that early in the morning where it would be eastern time.
