Waiting for Season 2.

I liked the first 3 episodes. The camera needs a bit of filtering on the fluorescent lights, too green or yellow, but overall it was good. These first episodes were a little gritty and like the movie sin city. It does have the potential for a second season, or even just a finishing of season 1.

My theory on the black residue spots is that they are a hybrid fungus bacteria spore that feeds on pheromones produced by panic, not just fear. That they were engineered to have a small amount of hive mind competitiveness, like bees do, and rapidly infest an enemy and induce overwhelming panic. Then quickly become innert carbon after the host or enemy dies, because of different pheromones released at death.

The ghostly things in the pictures are the swarm of spores interacting with the host, trying to induce panic. Sort of like a shadow of that person's deepest fear or anxiety. (Have you ever had a swarm or cloud of mosquitoes attact you in the evening, same logic.)

Thats my guess anyways. (Vinegar works great on mold, fungus, and Residue.)
