Talking to people on the Underground

Of course this was fictuinal, but there is proof that he sometimes get in touch with the normal citizens during the early war time. But he was totally upper class, so the stuff he tells early in the movie were very accurate and you can imagine, that he was similar detached from normal people as the royal family. Not sure how much he could really relate to people, but at least he was realistic. With people like Chamberlain, we had ended at best with a cold war between Germany and Russia.
