Pretty creepy-why does Hollywood keep doing this?
And the ratings are unsurprisingly low....
For those of you saying that James Franco was too old, would you all have preferred Dave Franco in this role instead?

Did you guys see the movie? If not.. the dad did ask how old he is because he disapproved. She says he's 32 and she's 22 with few semesters left of college. Doesn't matter how old James Franco is in reality, his character is only ten years older than the gf.

That is what I have been trying to point out all along. Seems a lot of people cannot decipher fiction from reality anymore. share
Hollywood does it because 'entertaining' movies are fantasy, and most Hollywood directors are men...
The director, writers and a lot of the audience want to see their dreams reflected back at them.

BTW this movie was a 32 year old with a 22 year old not 40 with a 22 year old. They are actors playing parts. share

Because Hollywood is run by a bunch of 70 year-old men who think women past age 29 are old, uninteresting, over-the-hill mom types.
sharedidn't see anything wrong with that. It was not like she is 38 and he is 22. Even if it was, it's Hollywood, much creepier things have happened..lol. Think Madonna & Demi Moore
