Unrealistic FBI

I have to admit my knowledge of the FBI comes from watching Criminal Minds lol. I'll be using some basic common sense here for the most part.

I'm only two whopping episodes into this series and I enjoy it for the most part, but...

There's no way the FBI would allow anyone without FBI credentials to follow them into the field for investigation. No way they'd let Jane, who was has amnesia, to join them in the field. They know NOTHING about her or her past. Oh, she knows Chinese. The FBI doesn't have linguists in the department who speak all the major languages? Jane could very easily be a spy sent to infiltrate the FBI and they basically have welcomed her with open arms. It is just too contrived.

If I put all that out of my mind and just watch and enjoy I might be able to make it through the first season.
