Over/Under number of episodes before it is cancelled?

I'd put the line at 5 and take the under. I'm thinking more than likely scrapped after two weeks. There is no way ANOTHER Dallas reboot can stay on the air.

13 eps or full season, it may to work for ABC.

This has cancelled written all over it.

Who knows? For the cast's sake, I hope it lasts whatever its season is, at least, but indeed we shall see...

reply

I am excited about this people didn't think revenge would last four seasons so maybe this might make it

The difference is Revenge was a hit out of the starting gate. That show got so much hype, good critical reviews and was actually watchable until towards the end of its first season, after itd already been picked up for a second. That could happen with this, I guess, but everything I've read suggests that this show never has the quality that Revenge had to begin with.

Another issue I'm worried about is the timeslot. Both Revenge and Once Upon A Time started off on separate, less competitive nights where they were able to accumulate strong followings. They were then moved to Sundays and that's when they began hemorrhaging viewers (although OUAT somewhat recovered and Revenge didn't).

So far just about every Sunday launched show (666 Park Avenue, Red Widow, Betrayal, even Resurrection now) has failed. I really wish ABC had enough care for B&O to start it on a safer night.

reply

Actually, Once Upon A Time has always been on Sunday. That puke pile spin off of Once was on Thursday.

reply

Grey's Anatomy started on Sundays... If I recall correctly, it's done alright.

It is about money and sex. Those are two very popular subjects. Chace Crawford is adorable, Don Johnson is still pretty sexy and women they hang out with are not too bad either. Every year I hear all these posts about how Nashville will get cancelled. It is still going strong. People love soap opera.

reply

Based on last year's fall TV season and the fact that only one new fall drama was pulled off the air before airing 13 episodes, (Red Band Society, which aired 10 episodes in its timeslot) I like Blood and Oil's chances to air 13 episodes.

reply

ABC needs another Sunday night hit. They better pray that the people who loved
"Revenge"' The "Dallas" reboot and who watches "Empire" check out "Blood & Oil" and love it.

Clark's destiny = Superman, LL &LL.

5 sounds about right. I guess if ABC is feeling generous, then 6

reply

I will give it a chance and see how it is.

reply

I second that
It is very seldom that I do not even bother watching the whole pilot.
