This show gives Gay people a bad name

I like the show a lot, but really, after watching tonight's episode, it gives gay people a bad name. I'm gay and I have a lot of gay male friends and have met countless other gay men and none I know, or have met, think they're women or dress in drag or act campy like the way this show portrayed gay people.

Seriously, I may be gay, but I'm a man and know that and have no desire to be anything other than the male I was born.

I'm not trying to offend anyone, but I think this show puts forth a false portrayal of gay people (and yes, I realize it is a Sitcom...but still). :)

The stuff in that episode only applies to drag queens, so I would say that episode is done in poor taste. It was basically implying that all gay people are drag queens, definitely not true. Being feminine or a drag queen is not wrong, but to say all gay people are is pretty messed up and far from the truth. As a black person I feel the pain, I so hate when many black characters have to be into rap, talk street, a criminal, from the hood, not in a high profession.

Most of the gay boys at the party were not dressed in drag.

Most of them were in traditional female costumes, not all were drag, but that's still very stereotypical. Not to mention to the shade thing.

I watched it a second time, after all the bitching here about drag. Most of the boys were not in drag.

You know it's OK for gay people to drop their wrist occasionally. They don't all have to be portrayed as butch all the time. It's fun, not offensive at all. Very Gay is beautiful!
