I get the joke, a teenager calling something old, “really old” like if you heard a teenager “like that really old movie, Harry Potter” it would be kind of funny for those over 30.

But Aliens is friggin old! 1986, 32 years ago!

In 1986 Reagan was president, the Nintendo NES a brand new invention, Michael Jackson’s last album was still Thriller, and a gallon of fuel was $0.86.

If you were 18 when it came out, you’re now 50. Yes, Aliens is a very old movie.

Keep in mind that a large portion of the audience for Marvel movies is 45+ (i.e. born in the late 60s/early 70s) and were close to Peter Parker's age when 'Aliens' came out. The irony is watching a kid say that and reminding them that it's something they would have said to their parents about a really old movie like 'Forbidden Planet.' So yeah, really old to a teenager, but hard for someone who was their age when it came out to accept.

I've watched every Marvel movie, I'm 52, and I chuckled when he said it, and I've had younglings think Matrix is old...
