In the original story of Child's Play by Dom Mancini, the kid was actually the killer. Considering that the kid was crazy about Chucky, they had the same clothes and almost the same size so when they show Chucky walking around or killing they never show the face, just the legs, or the back side.
Just at the end they revealed that the killer was the kid

no this one was actually about a crazy mother on meds and an even crazier son who acts out. there is no indication throughout the movie that the doll was actually alive. the few scenes where he is wielding a bat or a knife can be pointed at the delusion of the mother and son. i felt actually bad for the dad having married a nutcase and that the nutcasenes was inherited to the son.
other than that it was just a bad movie.
So basically Pinnochio's Revenge. In that one, the daughter hits the mom in the head and she hallucinates that the doll is alive, but at the end it's revealed it was indeed the daughter. For whatever stupid reason.
