For the fourth time in as many years, my wife and I passed through North Bend WA on our way to Oregon. We're huge fans of the series and make it a point to stop in at the diner for a meal whenever we are there.

At the back of the diner -- Twede's Cafe which stood in as the Double R -- there is a wall of location photos taken mostly during the filming of the first two seasons. They show a very young looking Lynch and the cast at work in and around North Bend.

A memorial to Peggy Lipton (Norma) currently takes centre stage of the wall. She died last spring.

I was depressed as I looked through the photos and contemplated how many of the cast have died over the decades. It likely means that any new season is unlikely to ever come about and, even if it did, it just wouldn't feel like Twin Peaks ever again.
