Such emphasis on this poor guys life..(spoilers)

Love the little things they did to show how NOTHING can just be easy or go the least bit right. And when it rains it pours.
Him taking off while the kid trying to get out.
The gurney struggle to get his wife in the ambulance.
Asking if he wants something to eat at the funeral, he says no and they go back and forth across the room because it's too loud, to confirm that while he just stands there.
The kids take over at breakfast while he tries to arrange the funeral.
Can't find where he parked his car as he goes up and down the street.

It's just these little struggles that are so good that add to already f'd up life he has to deal with.

when the son looked at his uncle's family pictures made me cry what a movie it brought out feelings in me I never felt before

Wow! I hadn't caught that but, yes! Those little touches really added to the overall sense of frustration and sadness.
