There wasn't even that much bickering. A little playful stuff in the car, then the couple is separated. The find each other again, argue a little more as the stress of their situation begins to settle in (pretty common in any such movie), and then the real action starts, after which either of them barely says a word throughout the rest of the film.
It's obvious that you didn't even try to finish the movie because well before the halfway point the man's dialog is reduced to "mmmpphhhh, ggggggbbbbrrr" as he agonizes over his leg, and the girl doesn't even really have a single unnecessary word of dialog once it shifts into Act II. Let's not forget that she spends the entire last third of the movie alone and says almost nothing at all.
It's sort of like me saying that I had a hard time finishing Pulp Fiction because the characters spent too much time talking about foot massages...
