Such a master of his art!

Park Chan Wook embodies everything a great director should. He has created his very own style of directing and at the same time, he has a tight grip on every single aspect of his films: the script, the acting, the filming techniques, the cinematography, the set decoration, the editing, the music. Nothing is left loose. In many ways he reminds me of Stanley Kubrick in his perfectionism.

His movies, even when they embark the viewer on a very violent journey, are always touching and almost cathartic at the end. It takes a great director to be able to take the viewer on such a roller-coaster ride!
