A star that's harmful to the y chromosome

Basically rendering men ineffectual and useless in this particular situation. But that's fine.It is Supergirl after all.I expect it to be all about strong female characters. But then you have corny lines like "The lesser sex" Referring to a dead male body. And "The dead body of an incompetent male perhaps".I'm all for female empowerment. But episodes like this make me feel like were teaching kids that female empowerment and man bashing are the same thing.

It seems the writers really wanted to make a villain/hero team-up using their favorite characters. In doing so, the episode was very uneven.

First, the anti-y star is where Supergirl threw Ft. Rozz. So any male criminal contained on the fort was killed - not a Supergirl type of outcome. Then there were the lines you mentioned. I'd have left them out, but I guess the desire to say things like that are in the female psyche, since they've been the objects of similar snark forever.

The positives: Psi got Reign closer to knowing her alter ego; we found out there are more world-killers; the comments directed towards Supergirl about the triangle between her, Imra and Mon-el were funny.
