Could be my imagination,however,seem to recall something sounding very similar in another British TV "period" drama. Sort of "surreal"?

Back in the noughties, the mini series "Elizabeth" (I think that was the title) had a soundtrack of the choral group Celtic Woman constantly playing throughout.

Sorry, but that's incorrect. The music was sung by the British choral group The Mediaeval Baebes.

Don't know if everyone is aware, but Siren, the theme song, can now be purchased through Amazon or iTunes. In fact there is an entire album. You can buy just the song or the whole album. I opted for the CD from Amazon $11.99 US and received free MP3 download, which is nice.
