Just watched Space Cop. Here's my thoughts on it

Just watched this. Space cop is a failure. They simply failed. I'm not passing judgment, I'm just objectively telling you that what you're witnessing is a group of sad, burnt-out middle-aged men finally settling.

They wanted to be filmmakers. They wanted to craft cult classics, to see their visions realized on actual celluloid.

What stings the most, I'd wager, is being so close to the film world without actually taking part in it. Their only consolation is making glib, snarky Gen-X remarks about real artists while begging for Patreon money to keep them furnished with Ramen and Kool-Aid.

This is what happens to dreams deferred guys. They're like raisins in the sun and wind up washing up on YouTube.

It's sad. Spergs like Jay, Mike or Rich could have brought home 90-100k as engineers. Instead they're living out their middle age years alone with nothing but movies to drown their sorrows with.

Truly a cautionary tale for would-be "auteurs".

In other words... they are the most disappointing things... since your son?

Spillzonen is the key to all of this - cuz he's a funnier character than we've ever had.

"Having just watched Space Cop, I can say I was not very impressed. I don't mean like I was expecting great quality or special effects, but as a comedy the film flatlined more than it delivered."

Really, is that how you feel? No kidding? - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3892384/board/thread/253101763

You should change your username.

"Its funny cuz more and more poeple are agreeing with me. ouchie mcgouchie!"

What's actually funny is that you can't seem to stop complaining about it. Make some more posts repeating your opinion. You couldn't be more obviously butthurt if your name was "Bitter."

I agree. In one of his numerous posts I stated that he should just dislike it, make a few reasons why, then let it rest. Making post after post about it is kinda sad.
It's like he needs an audience to agree with him that the movie was bad, so he feels validated. Just let it go, and move on.

#1 your written like 5 essay length responses on here... intelligent people need far less space to say far more than yourself..

Both Mike and Rich played caricatures rather than characters, with "goofy" voices, that interfered with their ability to deliver in the more organic nature seen online.

that was the poiiiiiiiiiinnnnnntttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt.....

they are playing caricatures...

Homaging/ mocking pretty much EVERY SINGLE one of those *beep* 80's/90's movies they watch on best of the worst..

they literally took every single criticism they had of thsoe films in best of the worst

-charicture's with little depth
-bland crap line delivery
-ridiculous sets that show you "its the future"
-plot elements that make no sense..
-scenes or shots that go on way too long.

You literally made a youtube video hahahhahaha... you are a creepy loser who desperately seeks validation...

"Your written"?

Do you mean "You have written"?

Using the word 'like' in a post (without the commas, I might add), not using hyphen when mentioning length, and YOU tell people what 'intelligent people need'?

Wow.

It's beyond irony, it's .. I am textless. (Can't really say I am 'speechless' in a text-based board)

Why is it that stupid people are the ones that most talk about other people's intelligence, and insult other people the most?

Almost any time you see someone talking about people's intelligence or insulting other people for their lack thereof, they PROVE their own brain damage in their post by expressing stupidity that doesn't know bounds.

I won't even mention your lack of capitalization and punctuation .. or writing [80's] instead of ['80s] (I am avoiding quotation marks to make this comparison more legible), or escalating your insults to 'creepy loser' (which is a matter of opinion, while you are using this terminology as if it is, or even CAN be, a fact)..

I feel sorry for you, because you have to live with someone like you every day.

Isn't Jay like 33?

Do people keep referring to the RLM crowd as middle aged because of the 4chan copypasta, or has middle age just changed in meaning? Are children 3-10, young adults 11 to 20, middle aged 21 to 40, and elderly 40+?

What´s funny is reading all these threads people seem to think that Space Cop is a big budget movie. It is not and needs to be judged by its indie level. Its fine. Its funny enough. Not a masterpiece but it has some great dialoge moments. I hope they will try to make more movies.

Hey, they might be middle-aged men, but they HAVE been lately designated as 'man-children', so that should balance it out and they should be viewed as 'vibrant youths' by now.
