What was up with the weird colors for blood?

It's not like this film was otherwise non-weird, but seriously, between mustard-yellow for Peter, greenish-yellow for the deer, and blue for Alice, only Zano himself seemed to bleed in proper red.

Was it a visual representation of a vampire's perception of non-vampiric (and thus, presumably, actually nourishing) blood?
