Someone will die.
And then the final segment will be yet another documentary video, with all the survivors in it, inter-cut with each other, all gazing wistfully in the camera or the distance, saying trite things like, "We're going to keep going. To keep fighting. To keep helping. It's what (newly dead) would've wanted. It's the hard thing to do. But the right thing to do. And we still have hope. For redemption. A better future."
You nailed it! Perfectly illustrates how maudlin this show has become.
The questions are: who dies and why should we care? This show has long since lost its bearing to the point it seems like each episode is filmed as they are making up the storyline.
Director: “Action!”
Actor: “What are my lines?”
Director: “We don’t have anything. Just stand next to the truck and ramble on about helping people or whatever other BS comes to mind. We’ll fix it in post.”
Actor: “Isn’t the show about the zombie apocalypse or something?”
Director: “Hey, a lot less thinking and a lot more rambling. We’ve got fifteen more cast members to film next to the truck so say something then go hit the craft service table.”
