Will average American viewers watch past first episode? Bait and switch.

I have to admit, the BBCA commercial teasers for this show are going to make a lot of viewers feel cheated when they realize it's staged using actors.

Most people will be tuning-in expecting to laugh at supposed pampered and sheltered royalty, not laugh with them at the reactions they draw from Americans.

I knew it was fake before I watched it, but I still didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. I think part of it is that it's too absurd.

I was kinda expecting it to be like 'Posh Nosh' in that it is a comedy but it still has a believability as a cooking show, which makes the comedy work. If I were writing it, I'd tone it down slightly and make it seem less scripted. They are supposed to be out of their element in a foreign land and with a different social class, but they aren't supposed to be from another planet.

Love it. It's Borat with Britons. So funny!

I think at least some viewers might wait until an episode where the two visit their home city. I already saw the trailer for the D.C. episode. The scene wasn't LOL funny but it was enough to make me want to watch the episode, just to see what kind of trouble they get into. I'd also want to see if I recognize any of the people they run into (other than known "celebrities").
