So why is Krystal a "southern girl" if she grew up in South Dakota? Plot hole?

Krystal is brought up in Rapid City, South Dakota. So how the fuck does she has a southern accent and describe herself as a southern girl?! The fuck?

I learned from an interview that the reason this movie picked Rapid City as the last leg is because of the actress, Riley Keough, her connection with Native Americans (she's like 1/8 native American or something). But in doing so, it creates a plot hole. How the fuck a girl brought up so far north ended up so down south?!

Or maybe the UK women who created this film is stupid and thought South Dakota is actually part of the South? LOL?

It's culture, I live in Alabama and I get told people think I'm from New York. Meanwhile, even parts Canada has "southern culture"

Kind of. We don't consider it "southern culture" up here. I guess it would just be described as "redneck culture". Especially in Alberta. The roughnecks in Fort Mac and Edmonton wouldn't use the term "southern" to describe themselves, even though they're as pro gun, pro christian, pro family as you can get them.

How's Letterkenney hold up to this?

Soft rednecks compared to Albertans. We would describe them as "southerners", but not "southern". At least they have more hair on their chest than the British Columbians though. Bunch of tooty fruity hippie druid junkie monkeys.

Lmfao I’m from jersey and anyone south of Trenton (central Jersey) could be considered “redneck” or southern. Damn, to New Yorkers I’m considered “southern” as far as “south of NYC” and I get shit for my accent all of the time. I’m as Jersey as they come, and I still get “are you from Texas!?!” More than I can count. Weird.
