They obviously did that to make fun of the fact that she's the Yellow Ranger and at the same time raise some drug test awareness! This takes me back to those " Power Ranger Messages" at the end of some episodes!

You realize it's been 24 years since the original MMPR aired in America, right? Times have changed, as has TV and movies and the depiction of teenagers.

That was hilarious. You're comparing apples to oranges. This is a total reboot. I mean I grew up with Himitsu Sentai Gorenger back in the 70's. The sh!t you grew up on isn't remotely the same as this original source material, but it was more a less a reboot as well, or just the American version of the source material.
