mirror mistake or editing mistake.... (spoilers)

so yeah again spoilers cuz i'm so nice.

spotted a mistake early in the movie, its during the scene where david and his dad find selene tied to the chair and being drained.

as they move to her, there's a mirror behind the dad if i recall and in it we clearly see a woman standing in the distance. it sorta looks like semira so i assumed she was nearby and they didn't notice her and she'd soon pop out.

of course that never happened. so either she or someone similar was on the set for some reason and were accidentally caught by the camera or there's a deleted scene where she WAS there and was part of the scene.

anyone else catch it?

It's a painted portrait. I noticed the same thing. You can make out the painting in a different scene earlier on.

Thank god, I was wondering how they could have made such a glaring mistake.

It's everywhere in the film. It's bad editing that can easily be forgiven if this was a low-budget film. Terrible, honestly.

It was a life size portrait of Semira, shown to the audience to inform them that they had arrived at Semira's quarters. Not a mistake, but rather a clever shot IMO

Yes - I saw that too. For a moment I wondered if she had turned herself into some Mirror on the Wall - and was about to ambush them :)

The woman who directed this film is incompetent and broke so many rules in
vampire lore, including the scene where Semira gazed at her image in a mirror, and Thomas (Charles Dance) A VAMPIRE, being murdered by a stab IN THE BACK! Disgraceful!
