Aafrin Alice romane

The whole romance is unbelievable from the start. No real premise for an emotional attraction.

Yeah I completely agree they sort of try to make it seem like it was some kind of love at first sight/divine love but I don't see anything between the two of them that would sustain them through the difficulties of their situation. I just finished season 1 so maybe the answer is in season 2 but so far it feels like situation where the writer says they get together because I said they get together.

I agree--I don't buy it. Sooni and Ian and Sooni and Mr. Khan have much more chemistry.

I had the impression that their mutual attraction was not love at first sight, rather was something that was sparked by his shooting, where he nearly died. If it did not appear that they had chemistry, probably that was intended because they obviously could not show their interest openly.

One thing I noticed about their romance, however, was that Aafrin appeared to me to be a stiff-shirt with a major stick up his ass the entire season, and I was wondering why. Was it because Nikesh Patel is just not that good an actor, or was he character really meant to be that pent up and rigid? I got my answer at the end of Episode 9 of Season One, when he and Alice finally had at it. He had a major stick up his ass for nine episodes just so that, after he slept with Alice, he could walk into his home with a totally rapturous, properly fucked look on his face.
