My V/H/S Viral review

Many people have labeled this film as 'terrible, the worst', in comparison to the other V/H/S films. My response is that none of the V/H/S films are perfect. I tend to view the franchise from a neutral point of view. I don't look at the film as a whole. I pay more attention to individual segments. Cause after all, that's all the films really are...is split up segments. But I must say, this film isn't as good as the first two. But that still doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it. This may be an unpopular opinion...but I kinda liked V/H/S Viral. Was it mind blowing? Nope. But it was still somewhat entertaining.

The first segment, Vicious Circles, is similar to the first segment in the first film. Nothing spectacular, pretty much boring, and seemed to be used as just filler. The story didn't do a whole lot for me. And really, it was all over the place.

The second segment, Dante the Great, is by far the worst segment in the entire V/H/S franchise. But that's because it doesn't even qualify as a found footage segment. I don't even know why it was used in the film. It doesn't belong there. And even if it was a standalone film...it still wouldn't be good. Dante the Great was terrible. Simple as that.

The third segment, Parallel Monsters, was actually my first favorite segment. Even though it is pretty goofy, I still liked it.

The fourth segment, Bonestorm, is my second favorite segment. I can't believe how many people disliked that segment. I actually enjoyed it. It wasn't scary or anything. But I thought it was at least cool and entertaining.

So similar to the first film, I only enjoyed two segments. The rest were quite forgettable. I actually enjoyed the V/H/S franchise though. I wish the creators would just go ahead and make a fourth installation. I mean, why not??
