how is this not as big as BB, SOA, or GOT

never heard of this show until four days ago but almost done with season 1. and wow the writing acting story telling is top notch. i'm a huga mma fan but my wife who doesn't like mma is hooked too. great show! they need some more advertising. not sure how they haven't got at least nominated for an emmy. everybody needs to spread word of this show so it can keep going!!!

It really is one of the best shows on television right now and even in the past decade. Writing, acting, pacing, everything the OP mentioned is excellent. The fact that it can be viewed by such a limited number of people is a damn shame. Hopefully it starts generating some cult appeal as word continues to spread and then maybe they can work out a deal with other media outlets like Hulu or Amazon and more people can view it besides the DirecTV/AT&T subscribers. I have Audience and never even knew that network existed or that this show was out there until a few weeks ago when I caught a couple promos and figured I would check it out on a lazy night in since I'm a fan of Jonathan Tuckers from other projects. I was blown away by how great it is. I binged it all in a few days. I'm not sure if this show ever passed by the desks of HBO or Showtime or even FX but if it did they missed out on an amazing opportunity!

Despite the name of the network it airs on, it has no audience. Hardly anyone knows or has heard of it. Shame because it's one of my favorite new series in the last two years. This and Hindsight, which was cancelled boo.

It's definitely the best show no one has heard of. I was happy to see some promotion for it during UFC 200. I can only wonder why they didn't advertise there sooner.

The weird thing is the popularity meter on imdb for this show is WAY down, like in a dead fall.

as soon as I heard about this show I think I watched both seasons to date over one weekend. Very good show.

Agreed! Amazing show. I'm riveted by how good it is and how little anyone knows about it. It needs to be a big, big show! I'm not a huge MMA fan either but this show has me hooked! I wonder if we can liven up this board and spread the word through here?

Don't get me wrong, I love this show - the acting's great and there's some really great characters and writing.

But, unlike BB and GOT (haven't seen SOA), it's Soap Operatic. It's mainly about characters' traumas and difficulties, often thrown in at a fairly unrealistic pace, rather than an over arching storyline or theme, as is the case with BB and GOT. It doesn't really feel like it's building to anything.

This is basically Soap Opera for the Golden Age of Television - only difference is reasonably realistic storylines, good directing and production value, and great actors.
