the movie went way way out there

on the CPR resuscitation chiche. You all know the hero will be resuscitated, but this movie tried the hardest of any in recent memory to first create the impression that all is lost. My general thoughts about this movie is that it employed all the cliches of the disaster movie genre to little effect as regards piquing the interest of the viewer.
