Brianna so different this season

I really liked her in s1 but not at all this season. All her quirks were gone and she just seemed like a straight up B. They changed her so much!

I didn't like her as much this season either. But good for her for going public with her relationship, at least! And she did have her funny moments. "So, getting back to this jewelry..."

"You were dead. Now you’re not. That’s completely fυϲking mad."

reply

I agree. I did not like her at all this season. I kept hoping she would give Frankie's "invention" back to her. Going all gaga over the jewelry the last episode was a big turn off also.

She was so funny last year. One of my fav characters. She was so blah this season.

It looks to me like she lost a lot of weight or something, not that she was ever anything other than remotely normal human sized. Now she just looks and sounds like every other bimbo on tv.

reply

yes I think she's lost a lot of weight and has changed the way she dresses.

reply

Completely disagree. Brianna is a breath of fresh air, and June Diane Raphael is the strongest actor on the show. She's much funnier even than Lily Tomlin, who after all is playing a caricature in Frankie.

reply

She's my favorite of the kids.

Frankly, I like Brianna's evolution. Last season I had some issues with her insecurities and quirks vs. her role as head of a company. I'm enjoying her newfound confidence. Just because they've made her a competent businesswoman doesn't make her a bitch. I admire the character more now. Frankie is kind-hearted and concerned about the environment, but she's a crippling force in the business deal, totally out of place and ignorant about how things work. Brianna is still quirky and sarcastic, which I love. And I love her new look.

reply

I agree, I love her style

reply

Agreed! Frankie was driving me insane during the yam lube deal. She was jeopardizing Brianna's business and embarrassing Her. Brianna initially gave Frankie a lot of leeway But fmFrankie wa she having like a toddler who clearly didn't understand business.

Brianna lost weight and her nice breasts from season one have become hanging water balloons that look old-ladyish. Her character is needed to cut through some of the treacle but I could never imagine her as girlfriend. Like Kim from "Better Call Saul," she needs to thaw out a little.

"'Extremely High Voltage.' Well, I don't need safety gloves, because I'm Homer Sim--" - Frank Grimes

This. The guy whining about his imagination of her breasts, please shut up. Would your mother appreciate that bull?

The thing with being an overly competent businesswoman on TV is that it turns "bitchy" and borderline psychopathic VERY quickly! I agree that we need strong characters to represent women, but for some reason people or writers seem to associate that with mean behavior and overall bitchyness/cattiness that you only find with strong female characters and not with their strong male counterparts. You can achieve that while preserving the female character's humanity. She seemed rather detached and antisocial in the 2nd season in my opinion, and I too think she lost her 1st season charms and quirks/vulnerabilities.
