Let me get this straight...

This chick goes back in time, and the only thing she's concerned about is a missed opportunity to hook up with a guy? Never mind warning people about 9/11, Katrina, or countless other disasters that killed people. Wow...

reply

Hey good idea! Why don't you write that show and pitch it to a network!

You know, based off of the crap that gets air time these days, I just might.

Rebecca while at her wedding in 2015 goes back in time 20 years, you
would think she'd went back with the knowledge and wisdom that she
gained in those 20 years. Not so, she is 23 years old with the maturity
level of a silly school girl. She went back to change the course of her
history using the poor judgment skills and abilities that got her in
the situation in the first place. so, i couldn't get behind her or her
plight, it's like being in the movie theater the whole time yelling
don't go through that door. I didn't care for any of the characters,
they seem boring predictable and cliché, I watched the 12 episodes
hoping it would get better. my wife is pissed I made her sit through
it. I realize being 30 I maybe too old for this show, which was a
surprise for me considering it is V H 1, this show seems more suited
for MTV. they refer to 80's too much for a time that takes place in
1995. I expected more than the writers could deliver I guess.

Haha, omg that is awesome. Like keep the same plot but like she also moonlights as a superhero and stops natural disasters and terrorism

reply

Exactly...so much wasted potential for a show. Instead of an interesting story about an empowering woman given the chance to save people...it's instead about some chick that's hung up on some dude with an English accent.

I'm a dude, and even I can see that this show is insulting to women.

reply

It's an Australian accent and it obvious you want a different show, you don't have to knock this one. I guess Marty Mcfly should have nixed the Time continuum and warned people about the Vietnam War. I really liked the idea of you writing your own show it's more of a HBO than VH1 though.

reply

I don't want to watch a show that is devoted to a woman trying to stop events that are 6 and 10 years away. I don't want to watch as people treat her like she is insane, or try to lock her up as a possible terrorist.

If the show was about that, then what? She either fails and we get to see the the agony of her failure or we get rejoice that in her alternate reality she was able to stop it and everyone lived happily ever after.

This is a light hearted show about a woman getting a do over to fix herself. Why in the hell do we need to complicate it?

reply

I'll give the first episode a look (I find it hard not to check out the first episode of almost any show - just in case I'm completely surprised by a show I never expected to like and love it.) but unless she decides to hook up with the best friend not sure I'll watch a second episode based on what I've read/heard so far - and even that probably won't earn a third episode. :/

reply

Chalk me up as very surprised.. I really rather enjoyed it, though Laura Ramsey carries it without a doubt, the rest of the actors (I'm being generous calling them that based on evidence from this show so far) are hardly worth listing in the cast list.

reply

Seriously. Your comment makes total sense. The complaints on this thread are just funny.

While the whole 'hey she can warn people about 9/11, etc.' definitely was on my mind as I was watching this, I also thought how a person trying to do that would be perceived at that time? And what if something along the 'Butterfly Effect' intervened and some of the things you expected to happen actually didn't in the end?
What if her trying to warn people made the terrorists try something more extreme? ...and it ended up killing 30,000 instead of 3,000?
The 'what if's' are endless. Will be interesting how the writers approach that angle.

reply

Good point Dummy proof. If this was a serious show everyone would complain that it's not realistic enough. It's a silly VH1 show and shouldn't really be treated as anything more.

reply

You should make a book entitled, "How To Make A Mountain Out A Ant Hill".

It really isn't Source Code or Seven Days; It's just a funny show which shouldn't be taken too seriously...........Even though, it's a little reminiscent of Being Erica.

reply

Good idea. If this plot line does not take off, they can turn her into a time traveling "superhero".

reply

Just for a moment I'm going to accept your premise. The girl woke up at 9:00 am on a day when she is getting married at 4:00 pm and the first thing you want her to do is go on as you posted?

Not get her head on straight? Not talk to her 1st husband? Not talk to her to her girl friend she hadn't scene in 10 years?

Its one episode and 5 hours of show time. Settle down before everyone on this site puts you on ignore.

Thats a clown question , BRO.......

CLOSE the FRIGGEN BORDER ALREADY!!!

The insiders would only alert their bosses. Some things are unavoidable, when already in motion.

reply

well you see, she's not superwoman. Do you really think 1 person could change all that? She would really seem like a psychopath then is she tried to save everyone
