Cancelled

VH1 has pulled the plug on drama series “Hindsight,” which was in the midst of preparing to film its second season. The decision comes amid belt-tightening at Viacom cablers and regime change at VH1, where Chris McCarthy took over the general manager post from Tom Calderone in July.

“Hindsight” had a well-received first season run in January and was renewed in March. The show revolves around a woman who winds up transported back in time 15 years and given the chance to re-do her life. Emily Fox created the series and exec produced with John Norris, Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly.

When I read recently that VH1 was re-reviewing their current lineups I immediately thought of Hindsight. Both surprised and not surprised. It was a good show too...

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I just read the article, how depressing. Hopefully another network picks it up.

Leave it to VH1 to cancel what is arguably one if their best shows. Nothing like jerking around your actors and audience, I bet we get more reality crap.

I feel particularly bad for the actors whom now have to feel jerked around. I mean they probably passed up other projects that would've interfered with Hindsight season two in the expectation of a second season. Now they'll have to put themselves back out there and/or wait for pilot season to come around again loosing work as a result.

This is a real disservice on the part of VH1! Your supposed to cancel a program at the end of the season, not just before production begins...

I'm heartbroken over this. Hindsight was one of my favorite new shows from last season. VH1 finally has a well written scripted show and they kill it. It even fit the music theme. I'm done with VH1.

reply

It's sad because it's a perfect fit for VH1. If not though, they should get to NETFLIX! I WILL watch it!

reply

I wonder if the music rights would deter it from being picked up by Netflix, etc. The music really makes the show.

Here I am coming here to check if we got a premiere date. I am heartbroken!

MULDER: If there's an ice tea in that bag it could be love
SCULLY: Must be fate, Mulder. Root beer.

So sad. It was a hood show.

Oh no! I was really looking forward to the new season. So sick of TV showrunners canceling shows with ongoing storylines without a proper ending. Would be great if Netflix, Amazon Prime or Hulu picked it up.

what? are they insane? why? everyone who saw it liked it. and to end it like that? eff you vh1
