How much time passed since they left Boston?

Even though they had a truck and got places also on horseback I think the majority of the time they walked or covered the most ground that way.
This show makes it look like as if when they walk what could be dozens or hundreds of miles they do it in just a couple of days.
Any ideas of how much time has passed?
IMEstimation, they should be at least a year older or close to it by now?

Don't know the answer but there's a flaw in your reasoning: the fact that they spend the majority of the time walking does not mean they covered the majority of the distance walking. The car is so much faster, that even if they spend only 10% of their time traveling by car, it would still account for most of the distance. Also while you have the car you don't have to forage every day in whatever houses are close, you can just raid a particularly well-stocked and untouched supermarket and load your truck and not spend any time foraging for the next few weeks. You have to be less careful for zombies because you just drive past them as long as you don't run into a roadblock etc.

Also if that part of the trip is the smoothest/easiest there's less reason to spend a lot of time covering it on screen.

They did show him stop and siphon gas once.
I guess we just assume he did it a couple or few more times before they lost the truck?

Movies or shows like this don't show everything but I guess at times we are supposed to imply certain actions are repeated after they show them doing it once?

yeah they are covering at least multiple months in 9 hours so there's a lot of stuff they're not showing.

I suppose I could look it up on Google Maps to get estimates of how long it took them to get from point A to B etc.
Driving from Boston to Kansas City.
Then walking from there to where his bro and his group is in Wyoming.
Etc if I knew where all they went.
