I'm Hoping This Project Falls Through

I was reading about this recently. Since there have been no new updates for months, not to mention the articles dating back 8 years, I'm hoping this ends up being crap. The plot sounds ridiculous, despite the director's assertion that it's going to be more faithful to the Lovecraft stories. Somehow, actor Jonathan Schaech (who is making a new Day of the Dead, more remake in title only) is attached to this as well. For some reason, Schaech is showing up on horror threads. Almost like he's trying to establish himself as a Bruce Campbell for a newer generation.

Thoughts from anyone? It would be great to hear input.
