Sweet yet powerful

Alison’s Choice has a simple set up: A young girl gets pregnant and decides to have an abortion. The plot thickens, however, when Jesus appears to her while at the clinic (in the guise of a janitor), and begins a discussion about saving her baby.

Bruce Marchiano has written and directed a winner. There are a few missteps along the way (one-dimensional clinic workers), but for the most part the movie stays true to its initial intent. Every scene between Jesus and Alison pays off beautifully, and that is ultimately what the movie is about.

Alison’s Choice is definitely pro-life, but it presents a powerful - and loving - case for life.
