Doesn't hold up to a second viewing. Michael Bay-styled filmmaking.

So I saw this film a few years ago, and I had good memories of it. It was a fun flick, and because of this confinement I got nostagic and wanted to see it again.

Well I saw it again and it didn't hold up. I absolutely agree with the criticisms. The fast editing to make the action scenes exciting were laughable. One knows the action on those boats wouldn't happen that fast. Those people wouldn't have been able to row that fast. This isn't the Fast and the Furious here. Funny when they thought they were going ot get dragged into the whirlpool, and bang! The villagers throw hooks onto the boat to row them out! Hahaha... all silly fun.
