Q: What is the main thing you dislike about this show?

I don't dislike anything, but I am curious to hear other people think.

There is nothing I dislike about it. Season one had some rough patches, but they justified them all to me in the end. If anything, season two's longer episode count has helped to give proper room to breath with the storylines.

I guess if there was one thing I wasn't keen on, it would be the fact Liv's mom and brother just disappeared this season.

That was the one thing I was waiting for. Like they made only one appearance this season which I thought was weird. Like I know she's estranged from them but still, I feel like that whole situation needs to be addressed at some point.

Next season maybe?

Very little zombie in the first half of season-2 iZombie, at least for the main character.

Apart from the vision crimesolving gimmick, similar to gimmicks used in tru calling and stitchers anyway, very little use of special abilities, strength, red-eye or damage taking, very little zombie angst, zombie humor or so on. After that great season 1 kitchen fight scene, Peyton just 'got over it' and came back, and didn't even seem curious about zombies, which is ridiculous when Peyton's job involved all these unsolved murders. I was also expecting more suspense around Clive pursuing the meatcute investigation.

The last few episodes have gotten better as the plot arc comes more into play, but I don't think they demonstrated a good procedural formula.

--edit--
I remember now, right from the beginning I have thought the procedural element should be more about resolving unresolved issues for the departed than merely solving murders. Portraying just character stereotypes is very limiting. by having relationships to multiple characters there are many more possibilities. Also there would be the angst of seeing the closure she cannot have as one of the undead. The ability to give a bit of closure would also allow us to care about the murder victims while still keeping it light. In the current procedural formula we have a succession of characters we just don't care about because caring would be depressing.

Absolutely nothing. I ADORE this show to death, it's even weird i got to love this show this much. It's one of my fav atm.

No complaints but it was very shocking when Vaughn DuClarke closed the door on his own daughter letting her get infected. I know it'll probably be part of the plot to take down Vaughn now, but man, that was brutal.

Used to be Rita, but now she's a zombie, I don't dislike her anymore. I think zombie Rita is pretty!

The hiatus is what I really hate, as this is one of the two ongoing shows (the other being Banshee, you guys should totally check it out) that I really look forward and watch it ASAP. Other ongoing shows I watch, I can watch them a week later after they air...

The most annoying thing is the hiatuses of course and now already season finale - nooooo!
When it comes to the characters I don't really care for Major and I seriously hope they won't get back together with Liv.

reply

That coroner dude. He's annoyingly tactless and glib.

And also the proceduralism and most of the stories themselves.

reply

I'm curious, why do you even watch this show, then? It's a totally honest question, not my sardonic attempt to tell you which show you should or should not watch.
