Mostly because this has been done numerous times before. Fight club for example.
There is another movie that comes to mind, however I can not remember its namn. Its about a teenage girl (and her sister, who is a figment of her imagination) who suspects that their "fake" mother is "evil", however it is the teenage girl that is mentaly sick.
Anyway, shame that I saw it coming, I assume the movie would have been better if I hadnt.

shareI didn't put it together until right before they revealed it with the pictures. It did hit me about halfway through that they went out of their way to not give eve a backstory tho. I figured she was just not who she said she was...maybe she worked for one of the other crews or she was undercover or something...didn't occur to me that she wasn't real.

I figured it out about halfway through but i thought it was a good movie. Kept me entertained so i can't complain.
shareThe whole twist just cheapens the movie in my opinion. If it really was a movie about two mothers both with heartbreaking stories helping eachother out, I would have enjoyed it far more than the way this panned out!
I was really feeling for Viola's character then when the twist was revealed I sort of went pffft... eye roll
Still an interesting movie I dont regret watching on netflix.
Doesn't seem like they tried too hard to hide it, I didn't feel special having "discovered" just looking for the seams
