This got me into reading the Hercule Poirot novels

My brother was interested in this because it felt like a breath of fresh air after the superhero movie fatigue at the time. And to our surprise, it was a very good movie. Now I do understand where many people are coming from considering it's a remake and also the second movie adaptation of the novel the first being the 1974 version with Albert Finney. However, considering I've seen plenty of movies that got me into reading the source material (Disney's John Carter included), this is one of them that got me into the Hercule Poirot novels especially And Then There Were None (which was the first I read with my dad and brother).

I'm not saying this is a perfect movie and it's not without it's problems, but the reason why I thought this was a good movie is that it's been a long time since I've watched that particular murder mystery movie Clue when I was 12 years old which got me interested in following the concept of the clues revolving around the murder.

So yeah, my opinion does sound controversial, but I hope you guys understand.
