Great film and very informative, if you can make it to the end

After two false starts, I have finally finished Ken Burns' The Roosevelts.

I had previously begun the film but my efforts stalled after two or three episodes. It's not that the film wasn't good. It's just that at a run time of 14 hours, there was just so damn much of it.

If you can actually commit to making it to the end though, it's a rewarding journey. I certainly learned a lot that I had not previously known. For instance, I never realized that FDR was in office for 12 years, dying only weeks into his fourth term. Nor did I know that Teddy initially became president because he was VP and William McKinley was assassinated.

Ken Burns brings his subjects and their times to life in the way that only he can do.

If you enjoy history, have any interest in the Roosevelts, and/or have enjoyed previous Ken Burns films, then you should like The Roosevelts.
