Shame the previous generation is forgotten

I have just watched episode 3 and think it's a real shame that as we move on to the next generation each episode, the previous generation is just dropped completely from the story.. I would be interested to see about Kunte and Bells life once Kissy is gone and no doubt now George has gone to England, Kissy will be dropped from the story.. I also found it strange that Kissy never mentioned Bell, just her dad. I get that it's about following the generations but I do wish there would be at least some mention of Kunte and his parents and now Kissy throughout
