Things I learned from watching The Lottery

-The first thing the government does is fire the person leading the successful viable embryo experiment
- A lottery of random people (many of who probably won't meet the criteria) is better than running a census and going from there
- Highest levels of government (the man and the woman chief of staff) blatantly can't agree on anything to the point killing or torturing people is necessary
- When you're a fugitive on the run, the first thing you do is go to another of "the six" (under the scrutiny of the Department of Humanity)
- When you're on the run and at that safehouse, you then decide to go get insulin for your son instead of asking the woman, who isn't plastered all over the news and internet
- Finding a cure for humanity means it's perfectly OK to delete all the donor data so the scientists can't access it
- A keycard in what is supposedly the most secure building in the country is all you need to sneak back in (after being fired) and successfully steal 1 of the only 100 viable embryos in existence (the US government "took over" the whole experiment at this point but forgot guards I guess).
- When you are warned by the government that you can't disclose what or where something happened to you, immediately disclose that you were held at the department of humanity
- ugh, many more.

Turned off halfway through the second episode.

1. killing the president is very easy, even though you have only a few hours to do it

2. when the president is giving a speech, only the chief of staff looks around, the secret service actually stand looking straight forward likegaurds at bucjungham palace

3. if the species is about to die, and there are no kids, let an unemployed, rage infused, idiot raise one of the only six remaining children. and if they take the child from him, we should feel bad, because HE IS HIS FATHER...

4.If someone from the secret service shoots you point blank range, he will probably not kill the guy, and for sure will not check to see if he has a disk on key with vital information on him

5. if your convoy was hijacked, and you see one of the people who did it hugging his son, let him go, its too heart warming to shoot or arrest him...

i fast forwarded through most of this *beep* show, just since i am addicted to plots and how they resolve. 10 minutes of watching at double speed is all i could take. so continues this thread in the hopes that maybe someone who actually makes shows will read this and learn... (naive aint I?)

I want to thank everyone who contributed so far to this thread.

When deciding whether or not to watch a show, I often prefer these threads over actual reviews, because of how many irregularities are promulgated.

Thanks people. Looks like it's a waste of time and thought to watch this show.

Peace

What I found most remarkable is people who are concerned about human extinction are a murderous lot.

• Murdered the doctor who created and administered the anti-fertility vaccine.
• Murdered a doctor who was a fertility researcher
• Murdered a group of diplomats
• Murdered a surrogate
• Some other folks were murdered

And there's a plot to murder the President and his Communications Director. Haven't watched the final two episodes yet where many more will be murdered.
